My cousin and I went to a building in Manhattan where there was a creative space for comedians, artists. He was there for a podcast. While he was in that studio space, I was walking around meeting every human I passed. I was wearing two pairs of pants and a skirt over the top, two shirts that didn’t fit. A girl sitting on the floor asked if I wanted to model. I asked her no questions other than how long I would be gone. I knew Brian would be busy for at least two hours, so I said okay. I was embarrassed by what I was wearing because I work for Brian and I usually dress professionally. The girl who asked me to model turned out to be nuts. Took me into her car though I thought we were staying where Brian was. She was driving off the road, spinning out. We witnessed an accident, and I yelled we have to help them. She looks at me and keeps going. Forgot to mention, when we arrived in the building we had to use the elevator and Gwyneth Paltrow was in the fat suit she wore during the movie Shallow Hal…my cousin Bri was in the Fat Bastard suit from Austin Powers.

My career dreams came all true. I was the senior designer at one of the big five publishing firms, and I got to make all the designs. I got to be with books all day. I was very happy to have had the experience but also very disappointed it wasn’t true. I had been thinking about changing course in my career, and it reminded me what was important, what the goal was.

I dreamed a group of people got on the bus and left without me in a tour in the city called Idealo. Then another group of strangers came to grab me and took me to their tribe. They kidnapped me and attempted to strike me. Then a person discovered a mark on my back. They stopped.

A train that had water in it was going through the earth, and it was flooding the entire earth. Something destructive was happening. It was either an end or a new beginning. I was in my late teens when I had this dream. I had another dream around the same time about the prophet Muhammad, and when he was leaving Mecca, they called him back. I have a recurring dream that I didn’t finish med school, even though I did. I had wanted to be a psychiatrist for much of my life, and at a certain point I decided it was bullshit. I work holistically now, but I wonder if the dream is connected to not finishing that.

I looked out the window, and there was a big seagull, and I started freaking out and couldn’t breathe. I had gone to the beach that day and seen a seagull eating a dead fish.

A horse on a stable, rolling up the horse to a forest, galloping. A blue room, where you set it up, no one else helping out, the only one, felt cool to help. Remember hearing water, a pond. Two trees in back. Daytime, spring weather.
