Staying the night at the family that I nanny for. Ton of rooms; they’re home. There was a dinner party the night prior, with lots of people. I was there with my girlfriend, it was awkward and was looking for a place to sleep. I had to choose between two rooms. A cat-sized rat scurried across the floor, it’s giving birth to a mother rat. The rat chases me—I’m afraid of rats. There are three rats chasing me and are trying to hop in bed with me. They chase me between rooms, but I trap them in one. I tell my girlfriend they’re in one of the rooms. I wake up with a startled scare—rats!

I often dream of teeth crumbling—there is a sharp and jagged crumbling of teeth; they come back and crumble again with a helpless feeling.

Being instructed to roll up a living baby in a brown padded mailer. Confused and alarmed but the baby is extremely pliable. First I roll him up lengthwise, and folding him in the mailer but I’m corrected and told instead to roll him up from head-to-toe like a sushi roll.

Climbing up a sandy red mountain with a bunch of people. I got down the mountain on sand skis and at the base of the mountain there’s a concrete structure—a hotel, a very open space; had to check in. Everyone went into the hotel and I went to find my room. There was one security guard—Jensen Ackles, a celebrity—and I see a room that’s really nice and said “I’ll just take this room.” I only had a duffel bag and the hotel was super minimalist. I grabbed lemons in the hallway to claim the room but then left and came back and then the room was full of tourists. I went up the hall stairs, like the ones at Yankee Stadium, but then the whole room started sinking and water was pouring in from the sides. But, it felt like it was supposed to be happening but I “didn’t know that this was one of the hotels that sink to the ground.” Then a loud speaker alert went off: “reaching ground level,” beeping. I found a guy, a new friend, to find my room—room #1021—and when walking to this room and looking at the reservation on my phone, i realized it was my birthday backwards. There is a big central pool of water in the lobby. A different security guard pulled this new friend away and accused him of having marijuana and put him in a headlock and he went unconscious. I had to perform CPR and he woke up. It wasn’t actually marijuana, just gum.
